Get Involved

The Washburn Tech experience reaches beyond courses, classrooms and labs. Join one of our student organizations!  They offer a chance to meet other students, gain professional experience and get involved on campus all at the same time. You might even work alongside a future employer. No matter your interest, we have something for you.

Sense of Commitment

Our student organizations meet at varying times throughout the school year. Take a quick look at when each organization meets and what kind of schedule you could expect.

The Fall 2020 NTHS Induction Ceremony was held on Monday, November 16 in the Washburn Tech Conference Center.
All students are welcome to join the Recycled Rides program at Washburn Tech. Ride-away events happen at the end of each semester. Repairs to the vehicles are made during two repair-a-thon weekends, normally scheduled midsemester.
All students are welcome to join SkillsUSA. Introductory meetings, held each fall, offer information and a rundown of contests students may enter. State competition is usually held at the end of April in Hutchinson with national competition held in June in Atlanta, Ga. Contact a Washburn Tech SkillsUSA advisor at SkillsUSA@washburn.edu.
On campus, Washburn Tech's Student Advisory Board meets on the first Tuesday of each month during the lunch hour. The group plans several events throughout the school year, with dates and times chosen by board members.
