Topeka, Kan. – Learning about career opportunities is anything but work at Washburn Tech’s Summer Camp. Enrollment is now open in three sessions, scheduled for June, that are designed to excite and inspire young minds as they explore their interests and even consider future career choices.
Open to teens and pre-teens, the camp finds innovative, hands-on methods of teaching kids about careers in the areas of construction, health care, human services, technology and transportation. One day, campers might use their hands to build a project or fix a car. The next day, they might take someone’s blood pressure or work heavy equipment. New and exciting challenges await!
Campers attend from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Sessions for students entering seventh and eighth grades are scheduled for June 2-5 and June 9-12. A session for students entering ninth and tenth grades will be held June 16-19. Each session costs $75 which includes breakfast, lunch and morning/afternoon snacks. Applications are due by Wednesday, May 7. Download a brochure and fill-out an application to save your spot!
