MTC Open House

January 21, 2014

Topeka, Kansas, February 20, 2014 — Trane, Snap-on and Washburn Tech will be hosting a Business and Industry Open House of the Midwest Training Center for Climate and Energy Control Technologies (MTC) on Thursday, February 20 at the Washburn Tech campus. The Open House will take place simultaneously with the Washburn Tech Letter of Intent Signing Ceremony.

The MTC opened in March, 2013 as a partnership between Washburn Tech, Trane, Snap-on, NC3 and Ingersoll Rand.  It is a state-of-the-art training facility for those entering, or employed in, the field of climate and energy controls.  It offers a series of certificates that are endorsed by Trane and Snap-on through the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3).  The certifications are industry driven and portable because they are nationally standardized.
