Washburn Tech Hosts Holiday Gift and Craft Fair

November 4, 2013

Topeka, Kan. – Shoppers can get a jump on the holiday shopping season at the annual Washburn Tech Holiday Gift and Craft Fair. More than 40 vendors will display their merchandise from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9th inside Washburn Tech’s Conference Center at 5724 S.W. Huntoon. Admission for shoppers is free.

“This year we have another outstanding group of vendors who are joining us and we’re looking forward to another successful show,” said David Praiswater, Washburn Tech commercial construction technical instructor. “This is one of the largest shows in the city and is held in one of the nicest facilities. With this year’s line-up, it looks to be another great place to shop and purchase holiday gifts for family and friends.”

The annual gift and craft show is a fundraiser for the Washburn Tech Chapter of SkillsUSA, a national organization of career and technical education students, instructors and business partners. SkillsUSA helps students discover and grow their career passions, and works to ensure America has a skilled workforce.
