Diesel

The Diesel Technology program offers a 48 credit technical certificate that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain diesel powered equipment. Instruction includes both theory and hands-on activities in safety, repair, and maintenance of several types of diesel equipment, tune-up and overhauling, transmissions, and differentials. Specific hands-on experience will be provided on Caterpillar, Cummins, Fuller, Allison, Arvin Meritor, and Rockwell Eaton equipment.

IMAGEFull time students can complete the program in one year. Part time, including high school students, can complete the program in four semesters. Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible to complete their associate's degree at Washburn University.
