Job seekers are strongly encouraged to preregister for the Job & Training Expo by calling 785.228.6325.
At the Expo job applicants will have the opportunity to:
- Visit with Topeka and Northeast Kansas employers with job openings and who are seeking applicants
- Learn more about Advance Systems Technology as a career
- Discover technical training available for those interested in an Advanced Systems Technology career but who don’t yet have the necessary knowledge
- Learn about financial aid available to those who qualify - click here for advance information
- Visit with Advisors
The admissions assessment for Washburn Tech will be offered multiple times during the day for those who need additional training and who wish to immediately proceed.
Please bring the following information or items to the Expo:
- Photo ID
- Social Security number
Job applicants who already have a WorkReady! Certificate are encouraged to bring it. Those who would like to obtain one can do so by either 1) taking the assessments at a Kansas Workforce Center location or 2) taking the Washburn Tech Admissions Assessments on July 14th or on another date. Those who have taken the assessment but do not have a WorkReady! Certificate are encouraged to bring their assessment scores.
