Course Description
This is a continuation of the Basic Beginner Class, but is also great for the crocheter with the experience of a beginner who is ready to move on to something more. Increasing, decreasing, importance of gauge, joining new yarn, how to read patterns, choosing yarn, sewing pieces together, changing colors, and choosing crochet hooks will be discussed. Small project(s) will be introduced as the class progresses using the various techniques covered. Materials: Size H (5mm) and I (5.5mm) crochet hooks, worsted weight yarn in a light, bright color and smooth in texture (such as I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby, Caron Worsted Acrylic, or Red Heart Super Saver), a needle and stitch gauge, a yarn needle, small scissors, and something to write with are needed to get started. Additional yarn and supplies may be required as the class progresses, and will be discussed during class.

Refund Policy: Continuing Education at Washburn Tech is supported by tuition funds. Sessions are scheduled, supplies are ordered, and instructors paid based on enrollment/tuition data. Therefore there will be no refunds on tuition within 10 working days prior to the start of a course.
