Course Description:
This course is designed to be a learning and skill development class. Due to space limitations we cannot accommodate large projects in this session. Course size is limited to 12. Training course objectives - Overview of shop and equipment safety. This course will cover basic oxy acetylene torch heating and cutting of automotive sheet metal and hardware, Use of plasma cutter on the same application and Pneumatic cutters and grinders, Proper preparation of parts and panels to be welded and Supervised open shop time for learning and skill development. Required Equipment: Safety glasses, ear plugs, leather gloves, wire cutting pliers, Two (2) pair of vise grips and a tooth brush style wire brush, and Leather boots or leather athletic shoes (NO nylon or plastic shoes or clothing). No loose fitting clothes.

Refund Policy: Continuing Education at Washburn Tech is supported by tuition funds. Sessions are scheduled, supplies are ordered, and instructors paid based on enrollment/tuition data. Therefore there will be no refunds on tuition within 10 working days prior to the start of a course.
